In Far North Queensland, where we live most of the year, it is pretty essential to get up at dawn if you want to get any cool air in before the searing heat hits.
Mastering the art of waking up early and having ample time to watch the sunrise with a cup of cacao, before launching into a morning routine that usually consists of running and/or yoga and always meditation, has been a total game-changer.
These simple hacks make it MUCH easier to wake at dawn... especially #4 ๐
1.Get up when you wake up.
Lying in bed when youโre already awake amplifies anxious thoughts. Trust your body clock. If youโre awake, and the sun is too, itโs time to get up.
2. Put your feet flat on the floor.
Yep, it is this simple. Sit on the side of your bed with your feet flat on the floor. Youโll instantly feel an energetic shift and feel much more ready to get up and on with your day.
3. Natural light.
Get daylight in your eyes soon after you wake up to realign with circadian rhythms.
4. Visualise your morning cup of Soma Cacao.
Youโll be bouncing out of bed in no time at all ;).
